Introduction

You must have a working XMP server before following this Community Bonus Pack (CBP) guide. If you have never set up an XMP server before or have not yet tested your setup, please follow the guide here before continuing.

This guide only applies to the Beta version of the CBP, and will be modified as updated versions are released.

Downloading the Community Bonus Pack (CBP)

The CBP is available as a free download for server admins and clients alike from the official CBP site here The download is a 104MB executable - there is currently no ZIP download.

Running the Executable

Installing the CBP is the same as installing any other game or modification. Firstly, shut down your server. Follow the prompts until you reach the Readme Information screen. Reading the information there is optional but not necessary, as the relevant information is included within this guide. Click Next to continue and provide the location at which your XMP server has been installed. You can safely click Yes at the prompt regarding an installation already being present. If everything goes successfully, once the files have been extracted and copied, a batch file will be executed that will updates your server's MD5 files. The basic installation of the CBP is now complete, you may now start your server!

Adding CBP Maps to the Map Cycle

Adding maps to the map cycle on your server can be carried out through webadmin. Load up your server's main webadmin page (see here guide if you are unsure how to do this) and click on Map List under the Default heading on the left. Maps in the left hand box are available but not in the current cycle, whilst maps in the right box are in the cycle. To add a single map, highlight it and press the > button. You can move all maps from one side to another using the >> button, and the map order on the right can be adjusted using the Up and Down buttons after being highlighted. You == must == click the Use button above the boxes in order to confirm your map cycle changes.

Automatically Running Mutators

In order to ensure that the server runs the above mutators every time the server is started, you must modify the startup line of your server (please note that this applies to everything in the list above, apart from the IRC Reporter which will start automatically anyway). To do this, simply modify your batch file or parameters in FireDaemon to read as follows:

ucc.exe server XMP-Lowlands?mutator=ArtifactPowers,KickIdlers,SuicideRaptor,XMPSummoner,RaptoRMutators,XMPTEb5

Delete any mutators which you are not using from the list above, and modify your startup line to match!
